AWS INFRASTRUCTURE & DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS ARCHITECT

I build backend systems that don't crash under load.

Cloud Backend Engineer specializing in high-concurrency systems across Rust (Tokio), Go, and Java (Spring Boot). I design isolated 3-tier AWS topologies via Terraform, eliminate RDS connection starvation with RDS Proxy, and decouple massive workloads using self-healing SQS/DLQ pipelines.

Featured Production Architecture

Paatam: Enterprise AI SaaS & Cloud Infra

AWS ap-south-2 · 100% Terraform

Architected the full enterprise backend and cloud infrastructure from High-Level Design (HLD) to production. Built a 4-tier tenant hierarchy (Corporate ➔ Branch ➔ Class ➔ Section) with zero-trust RBAC across 5 user roles, 153 live REST endpoints, and a decoupled serverless AI grading pipeline.

3-Tier VPC & RDS Proxy

Isolated database subnets with NAT Gateway routing and RDS Proxy connection multiplexing to stop connection starvation during 35-student exam bursts.

Decoupled Async Pipeline

4 Amazon SQS queues with 15-min visibility timeouts, 4 DLQs, and 5 Lambdas handling document extraction, PDF slicing, and AI rubric grading.

Self-Healing Sweeper

EventBridge scheduled cron wakes a sweeper Lambda every 15 minutes to inspect Postgres for orphaned jobs and safely re-enqueue them.

Live Demo

The Concurrency Problem

Real-time bidding systems suffer from classic race conditions: two users submitting identical bids at the exact millisecond, resulting in double-spending or stale leaderboards. Relational database locks create massive latency bottlenecks (10ms–50ms row locking), causing WebSocket connections to drop.

The Rust + Tokio Solution

Stateless, asynchronous backend in Rust (Axum + Tokio). Race-condition safe via Redis atomic Lua scripts. Async disk dispatch through Tokio MPSC channels at 274ns latency, eliminating 11ms of blocking DB overhead.
